I will not presuppose what turns you on whether comedy, action, a thriller or even horror movies but I definitely have an idea of movies and series that you need to watch this year so far.
1.Triple Frontier
This is a must watch for everyone who claims to love a mix of action and drama taking center stage. By the way,if you have not watched this movie, stop whatever you are doing and get it.It’s the ultimate classic story of ex-soldiers that decide to gang up and raid a drug kingpins home.Their plan is to steal around 2 million US dollars from the drug lord and split it among them.Everything is going according to plan until they realize there is so much money stacked in the walls estimated to around 300 million US dollars, way above what they bargained for.They can’t leave all that money; would you?Greed gets in the way and they decide to take as much as they can carry.From this point on everything starts going down south.Watch how they end up losing almost all the money they stole to a tune of fifty million US dollars on their way home after their extraction plane crashes halfway in the last pinnacle of the mountains, all because greed got in the way.
2.Black Summer
You have probably seen this movie being advertised on Netflix or social media networks.Truth is its a hit on screens.I haven’t yet got time to complete watching it but at least I’m done with episode 4.Now this particular series is one for those who love zombie stories, end times and scary stuff.Its built upon a town where the military is evacuating residents that are not yet infected with the apocalyptic zombie disease.The interesting bit is its not just a story on one person;its a story about a whole town.Different characters with different stories but all escaping the menace of the end of the world.I gotta finish that one.
3.OA
My Sci-Fi people( add obvious tune) I got you covered too.If you loved Stranger Things the series, this might just intrigue you the more. The story goes that a girl dies and reincarnates in other worlds.She is presumed lost and even dead on earth, but after seven painstaking years manages to come back to our very own presumably normal world, saying things we cannot begin to fathom.Only twist is the OA as you will later learn has to die countless times to save her friends trapped in the realm she herself escaped.And she has to convince normal humans to take on the journey with her to save her five friends caged in an identified location.How freaky…would you believe her?
