Do you ever feel like people, parents to be exact, just want to control you around like a robot or TV stations? Please, don’t confuse me with the rude, ignorant, disrespectful type but honestly parents or people in authority need to know we don’t always want what they want for us. Don’t even get me started with most African politicians because I will troll them to their graves till they mend their ways.
First of all, I want to remind you we are in the 21st Century where the Bill of Rights from the United Nations states clearly we all have the Right to Freedom. No slavery, even partial: just freedom. In as much as most parents will not agree with me, the truth is most of you overstep the line when you ask us to take certain career paths, subscribe to certain religions, friend certain families or people whilst actively dodging others and some of you even want to choose our marriage partners-what in the hell is wrong with you?
WE ARE NOT ROBOTS. We have emotions, preferences and obviously different tastes in almost all areas of life considering most of you were born BC (Before Computers) and we were born PC(Post Computers). The amount and type of information we have access to is so much different from what you got in the day and going by that we are inclined to make more informed decisions. Of course, it’s not always without its misgivings as the Post Computers idea has also been the source of corrupted minds and lost souls, but that is a story for another day.
Today, parents and other authorities, I’m on your neck. Please feel free to advise in every aspect you find necessary in our lives as well as monitor progress. However, for no reason at all are you allowed to just decide for us especially when we do not like it and are of legal age-particularly marriage partners and career paths. That is so outdated just like you consider slave trade outdated. Don’t backdate us to that era.
Sons and daughters please take heed of what your mother and father says, the Bible says so. Take heed does however not equate to being controlled. You also have the liberty to choose what you desire, what you feel you owe to yourself and others because above everything else we all have a purpose we are meant to achieve.
Adios brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers. Let us all give each other a chance to change to the channel that suits us best but for sons and daughters, you might need to buy your own TV Ha-ha. Pun intended.
